Corey Barak, COO of Solver, Was Recently Named to Marquis Who’s Who
Congratulations to Solver’s Chief Operating Officer, Corey Barak, MBA, who was recently named to Marquis Who’s Who®—individuals and innovators honored for accomplishments to their organizations and commitment to their profession.
According to a news release issued by Marquis Who’s Who on March 14, “Corey Barak's recognition by Marquis Who’s Who is a well-deserved acknowledgment of his remarkable career and the positive impact he has had on his company and the broader community. His story is one of dedication, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.”
Resilience and Leadership
Corey Barak's 24+year tenure at Solver began in 2000 as a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant, and over the years he has held various positions, including Director of Professional Services, where he implemented solutions for large organizations, including American Express, Clear Channel, and Wichita State University.
Corey assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer in April 2008 in a year marked by the global financial collapse. Despite the challenging economic climate, Corey’s leadership ensured that his team not only survived, but thrived. Under his guidance, Solver maintained a strong company culture, with no voluntary departures for more than five years.
Starting in 2025, Corey is playing a pivotal role in shaping Solver's vertical practices, focusing on sectors such as nonprofit, construction, senior living, and software as a service (Saas). His strategic vision has been instrumental in driving Solver’s growth, and his oversight of customer experience and professional services has been crucial in maintaining the company’s high standards of service and client excellence.
2016: A Turnaround in Solver's HR
One of Corey’s proudest achievements came in 2015 when he assumed leadership of Human Resources at Solver. At the time, the company faced significant challenges, including the absence of formal policies and two ongoing lawsuits. Undeterred by his lack of prior experience in HR, over the next nine years he implemented numerous policies that transformed the department, resulting in an eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) of 69 and a reduction in voluntary turnover rates to just 3% to 5% annually. In addition, the company has not faced any lawsuits since and a significantly lower employee turnover rate compared to technology organizations, a testament to his effective leadership and proactive approach.
